Photograph of Tower Bridge at sunset

Photograph of Tower Bridge at sunset

I took this photograph of Tower Bridge at sunset on a November evening at 5.30pm. Autumn in the UK can result in some fantastic sunsets. I know sunset pictures can be a bit of a cliché but I think it’s OK in this shot. The sky was amazing so it would have been a shame not to photograph it. Taken on the northern side of the River Thames, near St Katharine Pier at the junction with the river and the entrance to St Katharine Docks, I included the pier to give some foreground interest and carefully composed the photograph. Photograph of the London Eye and Big Ben

I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time to take this photograph of the London Eye and Big Ben. But I think you make your own luck. While many of the photographs I publish on social media and in my eBook Photographing London have been taken with my Nikons or Fujis, many have been taken on a …

So as I watched tourists taking photographs of Piccadilly Circus, I wondered what sort of images they’d end up with, and I came up with the idea of my eBook Photographing London. I’m very lucky to live and work as a photographer in London, one of the most photogenic cities in the world. It’s …
